How many times have you received a large spreadsheet and, as you scroll down, realise that you can't see the column headings any more?
Freeze Panes, as Excel calls it, can be used to freeze the top row(s) and even left-hand columns. That way, they stay visible at all times. You don't have to keep scrolling back to the top to remind yourself what the headings are.
Where most people go wrong is that they don't position their cursor in the correct place before clicking the Freeze Panes button. My video explains exactly where your cursor needs to be.
I'd recommend doing this for every spreadsheet you produce. The people receiving your spreadsheet will thank you for it!
